Don't throw in the towel just yet.

Being a business owner has always been a dream of mine. Little did I know that I'd actually be successful at it.

There are definitely days when everything seems to go wrong, and throwing in the towel seems like a great option -- or even the only option. It's in those moments that you have to remind yourself of who YOU are. No one else is able to do what you do the way you do it. No one else is you. It's because of you that you've been successful in the past, and it's only your own strength, knowledge, and perseverance that will get you to the other side.

Today was one of those dark days for me. I started the morning in a rush, only to be bombarded by client requests, things wrong, and fires to put out. To me, that's the worst way to start a Monday morning.

I knew I was reaching my breaking point at the office and decided it would be best for me to remove myself from the situations that involved others around me. I came to my home office for some sanity. I vented to some of my fellow women business owners and wrote out what makes me SMART.

What makes me S.M.A.R.T.? ---- I am Successful. I am a multitasker. I am artistic. I am reliable. I am trustworthy.

If I can offer any advice to help you get through a tough day, it's to remind yourself as to why you're doing what you're doing in the first place. What made you successful? What is your passion behind why you do what you do? Remind yourself that YOU ARE A BADASS. You're a BOSS. Don't let the stress of a crappy Monday morning dampen the rest of your day or even your week!

Surround yourself with like-minded women that kick ass at their business too, and lift each other up when you need it. You're never alone if you surround yourself with powerful and encouraging women. Yes, it's your responsibility to get your job done, but it's always okay to ask for encouragement along the way.

You got this.
